First Look: 'Turtles All the Way Down'

Join director Hannah Marks and executive producer and author John Green for a panel discussion and first look at Max's upcoming film Turtles All the Way Down. Based on Green's novel of the same name, the film tackles anxiety through its 17-year-old protagonist, Aza Holmes. It’s not easy being Aza, but she’s trying — trying to be a good daughter, a good friend, and a good student, all while navigating an endless barrage of invasive, obsessive thoughts that she cannot control.

SCAD Presents: 'chefATL'

chefATL is a SCAD docuseries exploring the diversity of Atlanta through its dynamic culinary landscape. The pilot episode features James Beard Award-winning chef Steven Satterfield and sustainability activist, author, designer, and TV personality John Gidding. The production was a collaboration involving more than 100 students across nine SCAD degree programs.

Scott Pilgrim Takes Off

Scott Pilgrim meets the girl of his dreams, Ramona Flowers, but learns he must defeat her seven evil exes in order to date her. Then things get even more complicated. Based on the graphic novels by Bryan Lee O'Malley, Scott Pilgrim Takes Off features a star voice cast, including many reprising their roles from Edgar Wright's Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: Michael Cera, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Kieran Culkin, Alison Pill, and Brie Larson.

Lopez vs. Lopez

Once-estranged father and daughter George and Mayan navigate dysfunction, reconnection, and all the headaches and joy in between as they make up for lost time like only they can. With George back in the picture, he can always be counted on to provide Mayan with some unconventional parenting advice about her son Chance — while saving a few lighthearted barbs for her boyfriend, Quinten, for good measure. Then there's George's ex-wife, Rosie, who hasn't quite forgiven him. In the end, the Lopez clan gets by with a little drama, a lot of love, and a lifetime of laughter.

Diarra from Detroit

Diarra from Detroit is a dark comedy following a divorced schoolteacher who refuses to believe she's been ghosted by her rebound Tinder date. Her search for the missing man pulls her into a decades-old mystery involving the Detroit underworld. As the case unfolds, her co-workers, friends, and lovers become unlikely allies as she falls down a dangerous rabbit hole.

Invincible

Based on the groundbreaking comic book by Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley, Invincible revolves around 18-year-old Mark Grayson, who’s just like every other guy his age — except his father Nolan is (or was) the most powerful superhero on the planet. Still reeling from Nolan's betrayal in Season 1, Mark struggles to rebuild his life as he faces a host of new threats, all while battling his greatest fear — that he might become his father without even knowing it.

Their volatile romance spans the Vietnam War protests of the 1960s, the drug-fueled disco hedonism of the 1970s, and the AIDS crisis of the 1980s, as they face obstacles in the world and in themselves.
