Prime-time Series Screening: HGTV presents 'Ellen's Design Challenge: Season 2'

Ellen DeGeneres puts six furniture designers to the test when they come to Los Angeles to compete in various challenges. With a workshop, a lead carpenter and all the tools they need, the contestants will be tasked with building an amazing piece of furniture in each episode. A panel of expert judges, along with Ellen, will eliminate them one by one until a single designer is left standing at the end of the season to take home the cash prize.

After the death of her husband, Norma Bates buys a motel in the picturesque coastal town of White Pine Bay, giving herself and teenage son Norman a chance to begin anew. Shy Norman is reluctant at first, but with the help of his mother, with whom he shares an intensely close relationship, the boy begins to open up to others and make new friends. Some locals, however, aren't as friendly and welcoming to the Bates, who discover that White Pine Bay isn't as peaceful as it appears, and they are forced to do whatever it takes to survive.

Opening Night: Fox presents Backstrom

Based on a popular Scandinavian book series by renowned criminologist and novelist Leif G.W. Persson, this crime drama centers on Everett Backstrom, a brilliant but troubled detective who heads up the Special Crimes Unit in Portland, Oregon. As Backstrom and his team handle the city's most sensitive cases, the detective tries — and fails — to modify his self-destructive tendencies. Three-time Emmy Award nominee Rainn Wilson plays the titular role in this series created by executive producer Hart Hanson.

Prime-time Series Screening: FOX presents ‘The Following’

The FBI calls on Ryan Hardy, a former agent with physical and emotional scars, when Joe Carroll, a notorious serial killer Hardy apprehended years earlier, escapes from death row. Joe, a former professor and novelist fixated on Edgar Allan Poe, mutilated and killed 14 women before he was imprisoned. Ryan and the FBI learn that while he was incarcerated, Joe spent his time gathering a collection of cult-like followers.

As the wife of an ailing and wealthy town selectman, Mary Sibley holds the distinction of being the most powerful sorceress in Salem, Massachusetts. Ruthless yet vulnerable and with secrets to hide, Mary leans on her ageless accomplice Tituba to help advance her agenda. When Mary’s long-ago love interest, Salem native John Alden, returns from war to find the town paralyzed by fear of a witchhunt, her plans take an unexpected turn.

Prime-time Series Screening: ABC presents ‘How to Get Away with Murder’

Annalise Keating, played by Oscar-nominated, Tony-winning actress Viola Davis, is a brilliant, charismatic and seductive professor of defense law, who teaches a class titled How to Get Away With Murder. Unexpectedly, she and her students end up having to apply practical knowledge from the course when they become entangled in a murder plot that not only shakes the entire university to its core but also changes the course of each of their lives.

Prime-time Series Screening: FOX presents ‘Empire’

FOX's new drama "Empire" chronicles the family life and business dealings of drug dealer-turned-hip-hop mogul Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard). As the CEO of Empire Entertainment, Lyon has always ruled unchallenged, but when a medical diagnosis predicts he will be incapacitated in three years, the sharks begin to circle. Lyon must choose between his three sons and ex-wife Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) as they battle for the throne.

Prime-time New Series Screening: ABC presents ‘American Crime’

"American Crime" is an upcoming anthology-format crime drama that follows a racially charged murder and the subsequent trial. Created by writer John Ridley ("12 Years a Slave") and starring Felicity Huffman and Timothy Hutton, the series debuts Thursday, March 5.
